Voorhees Spottted! Kicking Ass in Netherealm!

OH... MY.... GOD!
Jason Voorhees is finally out and ripping apart everybody in Mortal Kombat X! There are three modes to play.
There is Slasher mode, where his intro includes him walking into the fight pulling a dead camp counselor by her hair with a machete wedged in her head. Jason then drops the girl and pulls the machete out of her head.

This first version you see is his "Relentless" and/or "Unstoppable" modes.

In Slasher mode, He mostly uses his trusty machete. And has certain abilities. Just Like relentless, and unstoppable. And his gameplay shows that Netherealm Studios honored Jason properly. from his specials, to his walking, intros, story, even his Fatalities!

They even have the Skin of the Jason copycat from part V when both players pick Jason. The only odd thing is sometimes when Jason wins, He turns his back and takes off his mask. Hmmm?

I do like the fact on how they made him fit in the MKU. They stated that Jason is a Onryō, a Japanese term for a vengeful spirit, just like Scorpion. And his storyline ending is fitting, and hilarious.

Cause there is plenty murder to go around. The only other thing I would ask, is that he was to have new fatalities to download. Let's face it. Have you seen his body count?

Voorhees Spotted! Mortal Kombat X

Today is the day! We all get to witness once again the power of Jason Voorhees in a video game. And not as a secret character you can make, but a legitimate Character with Storyline!

I think Scorpion does NOT want him to come over here...

You may have already seen his teaser trailer that was released on Friday, March 13th of this year.

And he is in Mortal Kombat X for PS4, XBox One, and soon to PC.

Sorry, Nintendo. First X1 takes your Killer Instinct. And now this...

Now here is a big hit to my gut. I do not have any game system above a Wii/X360. And I don't think It will be any time soon that I will acquire one. So this is where I reach out to you, V Spotters. Please leave comments as to what the game play is like, the outfit, the fatalities, or even his story/why he is even in the game.

I mean, rather than getting my info from Game critics online that may not even have the same respect for the genre, I would rather here from the fans in the Crystal Lake Universe. Did Netherealm do a respectable Job on Jason? Did they outright butcher his character? Is there a secret Camp Crystal Lake map to fight on?

Also there was rumor of Freddy popping up in one of Jason's special moves. Is that just rumor?

Jason Spotted Beating Freddy Kruger on 10/29/07 in WTFW

With it almost being Friday the 13th, I thought I would look into what would happen with Jason Voorhees on Non Friday the thirteenth. Well, It seems to me that he practices his brutality on an old friend.

Honestly, this fight to me should have been in the movie long before they decided to let the blonde girl steal the kill...

And that Crystal Lake Plunge (Tombstone Pile-driver) was VISCOUS! Hopefully, We'll see him beat down more people in the future!

Jason Mentioned! Locke and Key Book 4: Keys to the Kingdom

Today's Jason Spotting comes from the world of Comic books, and graphic novel. And it comes from a book written by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son). The Comic book series is called "Locke and Key".

Synopsis : "After the murder of their father, Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode Locke relocate with their mother to the family estate of Keyhouse,  located in Lovecraft, Massachussettes. Through their stay, they discover other-worldly keys which unlock Endless Mysteries, Possibilities, Fantasies, and Horrors unto the family and their town."

It is an extremely good read for people that love comic books dealing with fantasy, or if you love H.P. Lovecraft. All of the comics have been compiled into 8 collections, with the first 6 being the main story.
But let me get to the point. In the 4th book, titled "Keys to the Kingdom", I was able to make a discovery. The eldest brother, Tyler is talking with another character, Zach, about the upcoming Highschool Hockey game.

Here's a joke... A Jock and a Hipster are fishing at a beach...

Seems he's really worried about the other team's usage of steroids. Well, I guess even in High School Sports people will abu--

Whoa, wait!... Voorhees High School?... And it's a Hockey Team?...
Have they seen the Goalie, yet?...

This is the team. Just him. You're still gonna lose.

I would honestly think about skipping this one  game. Even the Hercules Key (Read the Books) may not be a match for Voorhees Highschool. Hell, they probably even play on a lake, outdoors.

Jason Spotted - Best Worst Movie : Troll 2 Documentary

This posting's sighting comes from a small documentary about a recently dubbed cult classic. The Name of the Documentary is Best Worst Movie.

And the Movie the documentary is based on is Troll 2.

Which oddly enough, does NOT have a single Troll in the film.

So, basically, this documentary explains all of the hardships that everyone went through, not only making this movie, but dealing with it years after it had come out. One of the actresses won't even put it on her resume for fear of not getting casted.

And personal opinion, The director of Troll 2 really didn't know what he made, and still doesn't. But, he won't admit to it, either.

Well, this movie has become the cult classic of the current time. people are having small viewing parties. And by small, I mean 300-500 people. So, some of the actors get the bright Idea to have booths at sci-fi and horror cons. 

But although they had all the admiration at the Troll 2 Showings, It was different at a con.

But that wasn't what was spotted at a con...

Jason Voorhees is here at this con taking Pictures with Micheal Myers and Freddy Kruger!

It looks like Jason's Little Sister, Jesse is here as well, And Freddy's Little Sister, Fran. I believe the bald guy in the second pic is wearing a F-13 Hockey Jersey.

Still, it is nice that Jason can still make it to these functions, and hang out with family.

Jason Spotted! - HOT Sauce!!!

This is an odd sighting. And it was found by a reader in Ohio. They were looking on a sight for a band that's lead singer is Ari Lehman (The very first on-screen portrayal of Jason Voorhees). And the band he is on is, get this... First Jason.

Nothing says pure metal like a machete keytar!

Mostly plays songs about Jason. Not a bad listen. But what I was shown wasn't that, so let me get to the point.

It's his hot sauce. I mean Slasher Sauce.

Voorhees Hoax Uncovered: Marion County Auditor Signs

Today's post actually deals with a report my older sister, and a couple others have shown me.

They were claiming by this sign that was found in Acton, Indiana, that not only is Jason is alive, but he is living in Indiana, and trying to contribute to the government?

Upon Further inspection, I had to let my sister, as well as the others know that it was the wrong bloodline...

That damn "I". It's a sign!

We all know that Jason's last name is spelled " V-O-O-R-H-E-E-S ". Although, If this person Does/Did win said election, We here at Searching for Voorhees have a couple Ideas on people to appoint...

Voorhees Spotted! - WWE Monday Night Raw: 12/1/2014

Today we got our spotting from the world of Pro Wrestling. To be exact, WWE Universe. This past Monday on Raw, In the opening sequence, Seth Rollins (Bad Guy D-Bag) Is about to Powerbomb John Cena (Good-Guy D-Bag) into a table.

As some of you would notice that there is a special Supporter in the audience. As Seth is calling for them to hoist the Rasslin' Rappist to his shoulders for the Moustache Ride From Hell, You notice just over Seth's right Shoulder...

There it is! Some fan in the audience sporting a Jason Voorhees T-Shirt. Which in my opinion would have been better if Jason came down to the ring, and took the majority out of wrestling.

Today we move away from cartoons, anime, and Video games. We move to another realm. Movie VHS Cover Cases.
Today we look at the cover case for the movie "Sleepaway Camp II - Unhappy Campers".

On the VHS Cover, the girl is carrying a backpack with a Chainsaw, A Bladed Glove, and, yes, a Hockey Mask.

Does she know where Jason is buried? Is that why she went back to camp? They changed the name of Crystal Lake to Forest Green, Why wouldn't they have changed the name of the Camp different times?

Either way, He/She has a fascination with Horror Slashers. Enough to show up on here with another...

Voorhees Spotted! - Gintama Episode 15, "An Owner and His Pet are Alike"

Hello folks! This today's sighting comes from another anime cartoon. I present Gin Tama! (Silver Soul)

See the guy with the white hair running terrified? That's the anime's hero...

Quick synopsis of the Anime. Basically in Edo, Japan, the world was invaded by aliens. There was a great war, but eventually, the human race lost out, and the aliens had a successful takeover. All samurai are not aloud to carry swords. However, Gintoki Sakata, a man that runs an odd jobs business, carries around his wooden practice sword with the resolve that can cut through everything.

They are also big into doing parodies of other manga, animes and other films.

For example, in episode 15, titled "An Owner and His Pet are Alike", Gintoki Sakata and Shinpachi Shimura are going to try to tame and train Kagura's Pet alien dog, Sadaharu. Needless to say, Sadaharu is a big, cute, and VIOLENT dog. So, you see them out in the park. and that's when...

That is Shinpachi dawning Jason's Hockey Mask. 

Rumor had it that Gintoki was the first person in this anime to do it. but it was Shinpachi, and here is the proof. There are a lot of Voorhees supporters in the world of anime, and here is one of them. Hats off to you, Shinpachi, and Gin Tama.

Voorhees Spotted! - "Last Year" PC Game Kickstarter

Today's Voorhees sighting comes from a post we saw on Dread Central. They were doing a topic on a special PC game that just went to kickstarter called "Last Year".

Basically it looks like a co-op game where you can have up to 5 players being "Survivors", while the 6th and last players is the "Killer". you run through different levels, trying to survive an attack.

Well the first level is at a place called Camp Silver Lake, and people have to survive a killer there. Well here is the video for their kickstarter.

Hockey Mask? Check. Machete? Check. Victims? Double Check.

That's right. While the survivors are waiting there with an axe, Jason is slowly stalking them in to a corner getting ready to strike,

I'll tell you what, Any game that would allow me to play my favorite serial slasher, I'm in. They earned my $15. And if you love horror scenario games like this, they earned yours, too.

Voorhees Spotted: Akame ga Kill! Episode 12 - Kill the Newcomers

This post takes us into the wonderful world of anime! And a recent one, to boot!

We go to the anime titled "Akame ga Kill!" which was endorsed for me to watch by one of my co-workers, Tyler. I had seen the title before, but skipped it for no reason. The first episode was dragging, right until the last five minutes. That was all messed up, and every episode since has been action packed, gory, funny, and confusing. I love it!

OK, quick synopsis:
The anime centers itself on Tatsumi, a young man from one of the outside villages who travels to the Capital to earn money for his hometown. Unfortunately, he discovers That the capital are horrible people that torture maim, and kill most of the innocents for their own pleasure. There is an assassin group Night Raid that recruits the young man, after seeing him firsthand take revenge on one of the corrupted. 

Now, in episode 12, titled "Kill the Newcomers", they meet a new Night Raid member named Chelsea. She kind of runs her mouth to the group, and they want to teach her a lesson for it.

No more spoilers. Now towards the end, Chelsea makes a threat at Tatsumi, and his manhood. But when she does something appears out of thin air that is to resemble her attitude at the time.

What you are seeing right now is Chelsea's spirit animal pissed off. Although, I do not spot a triangle there on the forehead, I will confirm this as a Voorhees Sighting!

Voorhees Spotted: Regular Show Episode 19 - Grave Sights

We begin our inaugural Spotting with the Camp Blood Slasher over at cartoon network on a little cartoon called "Regular Show"

On an Episode called "Grave Sights", It is up to the two main characters, Mordecai(A Bluejay) and Rigby(A Raccoon), to raise money for repairs in the park they work at. If they are successful, they get a paid day off.

Their main Idea to raise the money, is by playing a "Zombocalypse 3D" in their old cemetery.

I will shortly stop from finishing this episode, so that I don't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it,

The main part is at 3:51 when Mordecai and Rigby are handing out flyers at a Horror Con called "Horror Con" That's where you see...

That's our first official Jason Voorhees sighting. Just casually walking around with a Horror Con Swag Bag.

Now, yes. Some of the skeptics could be right. It could just be a supporter wearing a mask just like Jason's. Unfortunately there is no real way of making contact. We'll just have to rely on this footage.
